India gets affected by bomb blasts almost every month. Hundreds of innocent people die for no reason. While it is difficult to stop all such attacks, it is fairly possible to prevent such attacks by improvising and using the existing resources effectively. We have to explore our options and implement them while there is still time. The need of the hour is to say what needs to be said and not to hide behind soft words in public only to utter them in the security of your own limited circle. Politicians should not make terrorism a blame game and throw mud on each other.
The laws are not presently being used to counter terrorism. It has been placed very much at the service of those who embrace political violence. So, the laws should be suitably amended to deal with terrorism. Police do not have any magic rod to do the things right unless and until the people of India give the inputs to the police force about unscrupulous persons.
India has become target to terrorists because India is multi religious country and many terrorists groups are from the muslim community. I am of the view that in case the inter-caste marriages are allowed, the terrorism can be curbed as this will fill up the vacuum of community bonds but for this, the ‘political will’ is required.
